Anderlecht interested in signing Man Utd veteran midfielder Christian Eriksen

It looks like Christian Eriksen could be on his way out of Manchester United, even after the English summer transfer window has closed. According to reports, Belgian side Anderlecht are keen on bringing the Danish midfielder on board, with their window still open until September 6.

Eriksen’s potential exit comes as a bit of a surprise, especially considering his contribution since joining Man United from Brentford in 2022. With three goals and 13 assists in 72 appearances, he’s been a valuable creative force, second only to Bruno Fernandes in assists for the club during his time at Old Trafford.

This summer has seen significant changes in United’s squad. Erik ten Hag has brought in key signings like Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, and Manuel Ugarte, while the likes of Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay, and others have been moved on. Eriksen could soon join this list of departures, signalling a further shift in the team’s dynamic as Ten Hag continues to reshape the squad.

Anderlecht’s interest is fuelled by their CEO Jesper Fredberg, who has long admired Eriksen’s playmaking abilities. With the Belgian window still open, there’s a strong chance Eriksen could be making the switch soon, marking the end of his short but impactful spell at Manchester United.
