PSG eye long-term contract offer for Marcus Rashford
Paris Saint-Germain are mulling over a lucrative long-term contract on the table for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
PSG are said to have met with Rashford’s brother and agent, Dwaine Rashford, to discuss a possible switch to the French capital.
The Ligue 1 champions are determined to bring another attacker to the club before the end of the summer, and it is believed that they have identified the England international as their leading target.
However, United head coach Erik ten Hag insisted that the 24-year-old attacker would not be leaving this summer.
“He is really important. You have seen from the first day I’m in [the club], I’ve been really pleased [with him]. Definitely, I don’t want to lose him. He’s in our plans and he will stay at Manchester United,” the Dutch boss told reporters.
Rashford only has another 12 months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, with the option of an additional year, and there have been rumours that the Englishman is open to a fresh challenge in a bid to strengthen his career.
According to The Times, the Parisians are considering a long-term contract offer for Rashford and are hopeful of bringing him to Paris.
Rashford has largely struggled to make his mark in Manchester last term, contributing only five goals and two assists in 31 appearances.
