Liverpool interested in Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler

Liverpool have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler during the summer transfer window.

While the Spain international has been a key player at his boyhood club for a number of years, there has always been the expectation that the playmaker will eventually move to a more high-profile team.

With 15 months left to run on his contract, Los Ches are keen to extend his stay past 2023, but the Spanish outfit will seemingly face a fight to retain the player’s signature.

According to GolsMedia, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Soler’s situation at Mestalla.

The Reds are said to hold a long-standing interest in the Spaniard, who has scored 33 goals and registered 31 assists from 213 appearances.

The 25-year-old would cost somewhere in excess of £30m.
