Liverpool eye £34m offer for Domenico Berardi

Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi.

The 26-year-old winger, who has helped Italy win the Euro 2020, enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for the Serie A outfit, contributing 17 goals and eight assists in 30 league appearances.

The Italy international still has three years left on his contract, but there have been speculations that the striker could move on during this summer’s transfer window.

According to La Stampa, the Reds have ‘set their sights’ on Berardi, who is said to be ‘tempted’ to seek pastures new.

The report adds that the Merseyside giants are weighing up a £34m offer the Italian ace, who has scored 105 goals and made 67 assists in 291 appearances for Sassuolo.

Berardi has also recently been linked with Leicester City.
