Report – Tottenham Hotspur to rival Arsenal for Orkun Kokcu

Arsenal reportedly face fresh competition from bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu, according to The Daily Mail.

Spurs have joined the race to sign the Turkey international following his impressive performances in the Dutch top flight.

The report adds that the Gunners are long-term admirers of the 20-year-old playmaker following his breakthrough performances at the Eredivisie outfit in the 2019-20 season.

Arsenal were heavily linked with a move to sign Kokcu during the latter stages of the 2020 summer transfer window but a move did not materialise.

The report goes on to claim that Spurs have had a word with the midfielder’s representatives about a potential move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of the season.

Kokcu has scored two goals and registered one assist in 17 games in the Dutch top flight this season.
