Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Leicester City.
The 23-year-old continues to struggle for game time at the Emirates.
The England international is understood to be desperate for an exit in order to play more regular football to bolster his chances of making England’s squad for the Euros this year.
As a result, The Mirror claims that the Foxes have now joined a bunch of English clubs who are already in the race for Maitland-Niles’s signature.
The report goes on to claim that the versatile midfielder would be open to a move to the King Power, and given his desire to play in the middle of the pitch, a transfer to Southampton is not a favourable option to him.
Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion are also said to be keen on the playmaker, who racked up just five top flight appearances all season.
