Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze on Manchester United radar?

Manchester United and Liverpool will reportedly go head to head for Villarreal midfielder Samuel Chukwueze in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils are being linked with a transfer swoop to sign the 21-year-old winger ahead of the mid-season transfer window, according to Spanish media outlet La Razon, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.

The report adds, United have been keeping a close eye on the youngster following his impressive performances in the Spanish top flight over the past couple of seasons.

The 20-time English champions could face fierce competition from Liverpool given that the Merseyside outfit have been monitoring the Nigeria international for some time.

The report goes on to claim that Chelsea, Leicester City, Wolves and Everton have all also been credited with an interest in the midfielder but Liverpool or Man Utd looks like the most likely destination for a transfer.

Chukwueze has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current contract at the Yellow Submarine.
