Lille star Victor Osimhen still on Leicester City’s radar

Lille striker Victor Osimhen is still a target for the Premier League giants Leicester City.

The Foxes are reportedly still interested in signing the 21-year-old forward this summer but fear that he could be tempted by a move to Italy.

Leicester are one of a number of English clubs to have been linked with a move for the Nigerian, along with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton.

The coronavirus crisis has forced most clubs to reconsider their transfer strategies, but the Daily Mail reports that the 2015-16 English champions are still planning to make an approach for the youngster.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly identified Osimhen as a long-term successor to Jamie Vardy and is keen to strengthen his squad ahead of a Champions League next season.

Les Dogues are holding out for a £60million bid for Osimhen who contributed 18 goals and six assists in 38 outings across all competitions.
