Everton to battle Manchester United over Lille attacker

Everton are reportedly keen to edge out Manchester United in the race to sign Lille attacker Jonathan Ikone this summer.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has scored 11 goals in 36 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

His stunning form has seen him linked with a move away from Les Dogues, although they have put a £60m price tag on his head.

Despite that, Le Foot claims that the Toffees are still eyeing up a move when the summer transfer window opens, with the Red Devils also thought to be interested.

While the Merseyside outfit does have the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Bernard at his disposal, the Frenchman Ikone could provide something different.
