Everton plot summer move for Santiago Arias

The Premier League outfit Everton have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Atletico Madrid full-back Santiago Arias, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 28-year-old defender has only made 11 first-team appearances for Los Rojiblancos this season and has not been included in any of the club’s last three matches.

The Colombia international will see his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano expire at the end of 2022-23 season, but there have been rumours that he could seek pastures new ahead of the next campaign.

The report suggests, Everton are weighing up a summer approach for Arias, who could be viewed as an alternative to Djibril Sidibe at right-back.

Arias racked up 44 appearances for the Spanish outfit since arriving from PSV Eindhoven in 2018.
