Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of highly-rated 17-year-old defender Luke Matheson from Rochdale.
The full-back has been courted by a number of Premier League clubs after scoring an equaliser for his side at Manchester United in the EFL Cup earlier this season.
The teenager became Rochdale’s youngest ever player when he made his debut at the age of 15 and has since gone on to make 24 appearances for the Dale.
Wolves have reportedly paid £1m to sign the young Rochdale prospect.
