Adrien Rabiot’s future appears to be taking an exciting turn as he’s reportedly close to joining Marseille on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Despite long-standing links with Manchester United, the French midfielder seems poised to stay in his home country. He has been a free agent since his Juventus contract expired on June 30, and while lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia were on the table, his preference is to remain in Europe.
Marseille, under Roberto De Zerbi, have ambitious goals this season despite not playing European football. They are currently second in Ligue 1, aiming for a Champions League spot, and Rabiot would be a huge asset in their quest for domestic success.
The deal could be finalised within the next 48 hours, a major coup for the Ligue 1 giants.
