According to Sport, Manchester United is actively pursuing Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The Red Devils were previously interested in the Moroccan player in January, but Fiorentina rejected a loan offer.
Barcelona also attempted a similar proposal, but it seems United may now be the frontrunners to secure his services. Amrabat is expected to leave La Viola this summer as his current contract expires at the end of the next season.
Fiorentina values him at approximately €25m, and reports suggest that United has already been in contact with his representatives. Although Amrabat initially preferred to join Barcelona, their ongoing Financial Fair Play issues make it impossible for them to afford him.
Therefore, the 26-year-old is now considering alternative options, and there is a possibility that he may end up at United in the upcoming summer transfer window. While Liverpool have also been linked with him, United holds an advantage due to their qualification for the Champions League.
