Newcastle United have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Barcelona winger Raphinha.
The 26-year-old has been an integral part of Xavi’s squad since his arrival from Leeds United last year.
The Brazilian has scored an impressive 27 appearances in La Liga this season, playing a vital role in their pursuit of the coveted league title.
It appears that Raphinha is not at the top of Barca’s list of players to offload. However, the Catalan giants are reportedly cognizant of the growing interest in the player, especially from Eddie Howe’s side in the Premier League.
With Ousmane Dembele out of action due to injury, Raphinha is expected to take his place on the right wing.
The former Leeds star will be hoping to build on his impressive tally of five league goals this season and demonstrate his prowess to any potential suitors, including Newcastle United.
