Arsenal keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Djibril Sow?

Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow.

The Swiss international is currently plying his trade at the 2022 World Cup, where he has been sharing a dressing room with Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka.

Sow joined Frankfurt in 2019 from BSC Young Boys and the midfielder has remained a key player for Die Adler in the current campaign, scoring two goals in 24 appearances across all competitions in the Bundesliga.

The 25-year-old is contracted to Frankfurt until the summer of 2024, meaning that the Bundesliga outfit could come under pressure to sell next year if he does not extend his stay.

Sport BILD – via football.london – claims that the Gunners are now considering a move for the Switzerland international.

Mikel Arteta’s side have the upper hand in the race to sign Sow as they sit five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Sow has scored six goals and registered 13 assists from 137 appearances in a Frankfurt shirt in all competitions.
