Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Napoli centre-back Kim Min-Jae to reinforce their backline, according to CNN Turkey.
It has been understood that the Red Devils are among the clubs interested in signing the South Korea international and the club could target activating his £43.5 million release clause at the midway point of the campaign.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Kim Min-Jae’s release clause will only be valid from the summer of 2023 and any potential suitors will have to offer the Serie A outfit a large sum to part ways with the centre-back.
Kim joined Partenopei last summer from Fenerbahce. His displays for the club this season have been impressive as the defender was chosen to replace Kalidou Koulibaly at Naples. Therefore, the Korean has emerged as a potential target for Man United.
While a mid-season move for Min-Jae looks unlikely, however, the centre-back could be set for a move next summer.
