Wolves set to reignite interest in Enzo Fernandez next summer
Wolverhampton Wanderers have not given up hope of signing Enzo Fernandez and will try to sign him again next summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Wolves tried to sign the 21-year-old attacker from River Plate over the summer but were edged out in the race for his signature by SL Benfica.
The youngster has established himself as one of the finest young midfielders in Europe and has already scored three goals in 11 games for Benfica this term.
It is understood that Bruno Lage’s side have not given up hope of signing the Argentine midfielder and will launch another bid next summer.
The Premier League outfit are still monitoring his development and scouted him during Benfica’s 2-0 win over Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League.
Fernandez has scored 12 goals and registered ten assists in 53 appearances for River Plate.
