Australia skipper Aaron Finch has decided to retire from the One Day Internationals after the conclusion of the ODI series against New Zealand.
Finch will play his 146th and final ODI on Sunday in Cairns against Black Caps. However, the 35-year-old will remain the captain of the T20 squad which is preparing to defend the T20 World Cup title next month.
The right-handed batter has an outstanding record in his ODI career, scoring more than 5000 runs with 17 centuries in the format.
Finch made his one-day debut against Sri Lanka in 2013 and soon became a key figure at the top of the order, playing impressive cricket in their 2015 ODI World Cup-winning side.
A true champion of the white-ball game.
