Barcelona showing interest in Monaco right-back Vanderson?

Monaco defender Vanderson has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are said to be in the market for a new right-back, with Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta identified as their primary target, but they were unable to get a deal over the line.

The Blaugrana are still determined to sign a full-back, as Sergino Dest is expected to make a move away from Camp Nou before the transfer window shuts down.

According to Sport, Barcelona have identified Vanderson as a possible option to bolster their defence.

The 21-year-old only joined the Ligue 1 outfit in January and has five years remaining on his contract at and it remains to be seen whether they would be prepared to sell the youngster.

Barca’s pursuit of Villarreal defender Juan Foyth could also affect their interest in Vanderson, with the Argentine reportedly close to completing a move to Camp Nou.
