Chelsea retain interest in signing Presnel Kimpembe from PSG

Chelsea have not given up hope of signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe.

The Blues are looking to strengthen their defensive options following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

A number of clubs have been linked with filling the void in Thomas Tuchel’s side backline including Nathan Ake, Matthijs de Ligt and Gleison Bremer.

Kimpembe is the subject of interest from the west Londoners, with a recent report suggesting that the 26-year-old defender was on Chelsea’s centre-back shortlist.

According to Goal, Chelsea remain interested in the centre-back despite failing in their previous attempts.

However, Thomas Tuchel’s side could face competition fierce from Atletico Madrid, while Manchester United and Juventus have previously been linked with the Frenchman.

Kimpembe has two years left to run on his contract at Parc des Princes.
