Liverpool reportedly remain undeterred in their efforts to sign FC Porto winger Otavio before the end of the 2022 summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mirror.
The Reds are tipped to “firm up” their interest in signing the 27-year-old attacker after the Portuguese giants rejected a £26m bid from Leeds United.
According to the story, Porto are expecting Liverpool to table an offer of around £34m for the Portugal international as manager Jurgen Klopp considers adding more strength to his attack ahead of next season.
The report adds that the winger has a release clause of around £51m, but Porto would consider selling him for around £38m.
Liverpool have recently done business with Porto, after having acquired the services of Luis Diaz in the January transfer window.
The Merseyside giants are thought to be on the lookout for further attacking reinforcement this summer after Sadio Mane’s switch to Bayern Munich was confirmed earlier this month.
Otavio has scored three goals and registered 11 assists in 32 league matches to help the club win the league title ahead of Sporting Lisbon.
