Barcelona to reignite Kalidou Koulibaly pursuit

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.

The 30-year-old has been fairly frequently linked with a move away from the Italian outfit over the last few years but has remained with Partenopei, where he has a contract until June 2023.

However, there is speculation surrounding Koulibaly’s future, with a bunch of clubs believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

According to Calciomercato, the Serie A giants are prepared to sell the Senegal international in the upcoming market, as they fear losing him on a free transfer.

The centre-back has again been a key asset for the Italian club during the ongoing season, contributing two goals and two assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.

Koulibaly racked up 310 appearances for Napoli since joining the club in July 2014.
