Manchester United join race for Dusan Vlahovic

Manchester United have reportedly joined the clutch of clubs hoping to secure the signature of Fiorentina centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old striker has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances for La Viola during the current campaign, and a bunch of clubs, including Newcastle United, Juventus, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, are said to be keen on the player.

Vlahovic’s contract with the Italian outfit is due to expire in June 2023, and he has rejected the chance to sign an extension.

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have been scouting the Serbian this season and are firmly in the race for his signature next year.

The Mancunian giants are expected to target a new striker in 2022, with both Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial likely to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Vlahovic has scored 41 times in 98 matches for Fiorentina.
