Liverpool face fresh competition from Manchester United for the signature of FC Dallas starlet Ricardo Pepi.
The 18-year-old striker has enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season with the MLS outfit, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions in 27 appearances.
The teenager has also established himself on the international stage with three goals from four appearances for the USA since his debut last month.
However, The Mirror claims that Manchester United are also vying for the services of the American, who is ‘desperate’ to join a European club over the winter.
The report goes on to claim that Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion are also keeping close tabs on Pepi’s situation, and the starlet also has admirers in the Bundesliga and Serie A.
Pepi is under contract with Dallas until the summer of 2026.
