Tottenham Hotspur eye Lorenzo Insigne on a free transfer

Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring Lorenzo Insigne’s situation at Napoli in the hope of signing him on a free transfer next summer.

The 30-year-old striker has still not signed a new deal in Naples, meaning that, he will be available for free in June.

A number of Europe’s biggest clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on Insigne’s situation, and according to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham are hoping to sign him at the end of his contract.

Everton and Inter Milan are also said to be keen on the Italy international, as Partenopei could struggle to hand him the deal that he wants due to the club’s financial problems.

Insigne chipped in with 109 goals and 85 assists in 397 appearances for Napoli over the last 11 years.

Should Spurs want to sign the Italian Euro 2020 winner this summer itself, he could be available for around €25-30 million. However, the North London outfit are not willing to invest in him this year.
