Chelsea interested in signing Saint-Etienne teenager

Chelsea have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Saint-Etienne youngster Lucas Gourna-Douath in the summer transfer window.

The 17-year-old has made 30 first-team appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit, which all came in the top flight during a breakthrough 2020-21 campaign.

According to RMC Sport, The Blues have been keeping a close eye on the starlet’s development and have now approached the French club to ask for more information about his availability.

The report adds that Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have also been in touch with Saint-Etienne to express their interest in the teenager during this summer’s transfer window.

The French midfielder signed his first professional contract with Saint-Etienne in May last year.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in signing Barcelona youngster Ilaix Moriba.
