Real Madrid enter the race for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Ben White?

Real Madrid are reportedly keen to edge out Arsenal in the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ben White this summer.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for Brighton, and his performances have understandably attracted interest from other top European clubs.

The England international is supposedly keen to complete a transfer to the Emirates Stadium should the two sides agree a fee, but the Gunners may face stiff competition in their bid to strengthen their defence.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid are also considering a swoop for the £50m-rated centre-back as an ideal replacement for Raphael Varane, whose future remains shrouded in uncertainty.

White has made 36 Premier League appearances for Brighton last season.
