Wolves on the verge of signing Tammy Abraham
Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham during this summer’s transfer window.
The England international has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 31 appearances for the Blues this season but has struggled for regular action under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
Abraham is down the pecking order and continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
A recent report suggested that West Ham United were well positioned to move for the 23-year-old striker when the upcoming transfer window opens for business.
However, according to Football Insider, Wolves are also in the race, with the West Midlands outfit keen to bring a new frontman to the club.
The report goes on to claim that Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is a big admirer’ of Abraham, who is also on the radar of Aston Villa, where he spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan.
Abraham has contributed 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 outings for Chelsea.
