Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly ready to lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur over the signature of Benfica forward Carlos Vinicius.
The Brazil international joined Spurs on loan last October and has since gone on to make 22 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have not ruled out signing the 26-year-old striker on a permanent basis despite the fact that he has struggled to cement his place as a first-team regular, particularly in the English top flight.
The report adds that the north Londoners have already signalled that they are not prepared to pay €42m for the Brazilian but are still interested in a deal.
Wolves are also said to be keen on the player, though, with the West Midlands outfit keen to sign a new centre-forward in the upcoming market.
Vinicius is under contract with Benfica until June 2024.
