Leicester City are close to finalising the £15 signing of Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard ahead of bringing the forward to East Midlands in the summer.
The 23-year-old striker has enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for the Hoops, scoring 20 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.
Arsenal and Aston Villa have been linked with the France U21 international, who is under contract with the Scottish champions until May 2022.
However, according to The Daily Mail, the Foxes are closing in on a £15m deal for Edouard, who is keen to reunite with his former coach Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium.
The report adds that the Northern Irish boss views Edouard as an ideal long-term replacement for Jamie Vardy.
Edouard has chipped in with 81 goals and 35 assists in 160 games for Celtic.
