Leicester City, Everton to go head to head for Danny Ings?

Leicester City and Everton have reportedly both placed emphasis on signing Danny Ings as the forward continues to be linked with a move away from Southampton.

The England international has been in excellent form for the Saints during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring seven goals in 13 top flight appearances, while he has scored 40 goals in 82 games for the club in all competitions since arriving from Liverpool.

According to 90min, Leicester and Everton are also in the race for the 28-year-old striker, who played 85 minutes of his team’s 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Ings’ existing contract at St Mary’s is due to expire next summer, though, and Tottenham Hotspur have recently been credited with an interest in his signature.
