Juventus and Real Madrid reportedly face fresh competition from Manchester United for the signing of Sporting Lisbon youngster Nuno Mendes.
At the age of just 18, Mendes has proven himself to be a versatile left-back, which has turned the heads of some of Europe’s biggest clubs including from Real Madrid and Juventus.
According to O Jogo, Manchester United are also weighing up a big-money approach for the Portugal Under-21 international in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have a history of doing business with the Portuguese stars, having previously acquired the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Bruno Fernandes.
Mendes, who is valued somewhere in the region of £40m, racked up 10 starts so far this season.
