Chelsea to reignite interest in Declan Rice?

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice during the January transfer window.

The Blues were heavily linked with the 21-year-old over the summer, but the Hammers allegedly signalled that they would not be prepared to sell one of their assets for under £70m.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the England international remains a No1 target for Frank Lampard’s side, and the west London outfit are expected to return for the youngster at the midway point of the campaign.

Rice has played every single minute of Premier League football this season and has captained the East London outfit in three of their four outings.

Rice has a deal at the London Stadium until 2024.
