Man United on verge of completing a deal to sign Sergio Reguilon

Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon who is deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.

Having spent the last season on loan at Sevilla, it has been suggested that the Spain international would prefer to return to Los Nervionenses.

However, the Europa League winners are now in talks to acquire the services of Porto’s Marcos Acuna, a development which effectively clears the way for the Red Devils to hold less-complicated discussions with Real.

According to Marca, Reguilon is keen on to make the switch to Old Trafford, aware that the 23-year-old will not be presented with opportunities at the Spanish capital.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be weighing up a move for Reguilon.
