Leeds United eye swoop for PSG star Julian Draxler – report
Leeds United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain, according to French media outlet RMC Sport, as quoted by Daily Star.
The Whites are attempting to convince the 26-year-old PSG star to move to Elland Road this summer.
The report adds that the Yorkshire giants have contacted the Germany international as the newly-promoted side look to bolster their squad ahead of the 2020-21 Premier League season.
The report goes on to claim that PSG sporting director Leonardo wants to offload the midfielder in the current transfer window.
However, RMC Sport suggest that the winger doesn’t want to leave Parc des Princes because he now feels settled in the French capital.
Draxler joined the Parisians from Wolfsburg in a £42m deal in 2016.
He has scored 20 goals in 140 appearances in all competitions over the past four seasons with PSG.
Leeds United begin their season opener on a trip to Liverpool on Saturday.
