Arsenal considering Malang Sarr swoop on free transfer?

Arsenal have emerged as rumoured suitors for the 21-year-old defender Malang Sarr.

The Gunners are operating on a limited budget, and the centre-back appears to be exactly the kind of player the Gunners should be focusing, given the financial concerns arising from the coronavirus pandemic.

That effectively leaves the Spaniard boss to consider whether there is worth in signing a player on a free transfer or on a season-long loan deal.

According to Marca, Arteta ramped up his interest in Sarr, who is available on a free transfer after his deal expired with Nice.

RB Leipzig are also said to be admirers of the centre-back, who played an important role in helping Nice finish fifth in Ligue 1 this term.

Sarr racked up 113 appearances for Nice in all competitions.
