Liverpool to rival Manchester United for Raul Jimenez?

Liverpool are reportedly ready to lock horns with bitter rivals Manchester United over Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez, reports Don Balon.

The 29-year-old forward has enjoyed another stellar season with Wolves, contributing 13 goals and six assists in the English top-flight.

A number of Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in the Mexican as a result, and the report suggests that the Merseyside giants are the latest to be linked.

The Reds are understood to be in the market for another high-profile striker this summer in order to strengthen their squad to provide more competition for Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been most heavily linked with Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, but have now also added Raul Jimenez to their list of summer targets.

Jimenez has recently insisted that he is happy at the West Midlands outfit but admitted that he would consider a move away if either Barcelona or Real Madrid came on his way.
