Manchester United considering Joe Rodon swoop

Manchester United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Swansea City centre-back Joe Rodon.

The 22-year-old defender has made 21 appearances for the Championship outfit during the 2019-20 campaign.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Swans expect Manchester United to be among the bidders for the Welshman ahead of the new season.

Manchester City, though, have also been credited with an interest in the centre-back amid suggestions that Steve Cooper’s side will listen to offers in the region of £20million.

Rodon will see his contract at the Liberty Stadium expire at the end of 2021-22 campaign.
