Tottenham Hotspur eye Barcelona playmaker Ivan Rakitic?

Tottenham Hotspur have allegedly earmarked Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic as a potential summer transfer target.

Having dropped down the pecking order at Camp Nou, the Croatian has been made available for transfer by the La Liga champions as they look to raise funds for new arrivals.

The 32-year-old playmaker being linked with a number of European elite clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham are now regarded as the favourites for Rakitic’s signature.

The alleged development emerged at a time when the Catalan giants have been credited with an interest in Tanguy Ndombele, who has had a disastrous first season in north London.

Rakitic has made 299 appearances for Barca since joining back in 2014.
