Manchester City lining up summer move for 19-year-old defender

Manchester City are lining up a swoop for Sevilla left-back Pablo Perez.

The 19-year-old defender joined Los Nervionenses last summer and has impressed for the Under-19 side during the 2019-20 campaign.

The teenager is yet to represent Sevilla but has allegedly trained with the first team this season, having caught the attention with his performances at youth level.

According to Marca, the La Liga outfit are working to tie the Spain Under-19 international to a new long-term contract, with the club’s director of football Monchi overseeing the discussions.

However, the report adds that Manchester City have been impressed by the player’s development and could attempt to lure him to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Ajax and RB Leipzig are also said to be keen on the left-back.
