Borussia Dortmund lead race to sign Jude Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keen to edge out Manchester United in the race to sign Jude Bellingham from Birmingham City, according to German media outlet Bild.

The Bundesliga giants are set to beat the Red Devils to the signing of the 16-year-old midfielder this summer.

BVB are close to secure “the next young prospect” after landing Norwegian striker Erling Braut Haland from Red Bull Salzburg in January.

Bellingham is expected to move to Dortmund in the summer where he can link up with compatriot Jadon Sancho.

The German giants are set to pay a club-record £30m to sign the Birmingham midfielder to land yet another of Europe’s talents.

The English teenager has scored four goals in 31 appearances this season to earn interest from a number of top clubs around Europe.

Man United signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in a £47m deal back in January.
