Report – Man United planning summer move for Jonathan David

Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Gent striker Jonathan David, according to The Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are interested in a swoop to sign the Canada international to bolster their attacking ranks.

The 20-year-old has attracted interest from FC Porto following his stunning performances in the Jupiler League this season.

United’s scouts have been impressed by the forward and they are expected to watch Gent’s fixture against AS Roma in the Europa League on Thursday.

The report continues that United will have competition from Everton, Arsenal and Leicester City for the Canadian who scored 18 goals in 25 appearances in the Belgian top-flight.

United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to be in the transfer market to sign a frontman in the summer transfer window.

The 20-time English champions have relied heavily on both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial this term following Romelu Lukaku’s exit to Inter Milan last year.
