Juventus identify 27-year-old midfielder as Blaise Matuidi replacement
Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro is reportedly on the radar of Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old playmaker racked up over 200 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey and four Champions League during his time at Madrid.
The Brazil international is currently under contract at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2023 and has again been a key asset for the Spanish giants this term.
According to Calciomercato, though, the Italian champions Juventus have identified Matuidi as a potential replacement for Blaise Matuidi, who will be out of contract at the end of the campaign.
The report goes on to claim that Maurizio Sarri’s side plan to extend Matuidi’s deal until the summer of 2021 before attempting to offload him during this summer’s transfer window.
Juventus will also allegedly be firmly in the race for Barcelona star Lionel Messi should the Argentine decide to leave Camp Nou on a free transfer at the end of the curernt season.
