Manchester United are considering to revamp their efforts to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mirror.
The Red Devils are keen to seal a deal to land the 28-year-old defender at the end of the season, as they view him as the ideal partner for Harry Maguire at Old Trafford.
The 20-time English champions have spent the last 12 months chasing Koulibaly but were unable to get a deal over the line.
United will continue their efforts to try and land the centre-back at the end of the season.
The report also suggests that the Senegal international himself is fully aware of United’s interest in signing him and is open to the idea of a move to the Old Trafford.
However, the report also makes it clear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could face stiff competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea for his signature in the summer.
Koulibaly has made 14 Serie A appearances for Partenopei this season.
