Lyon midfielder on Liverpool radar?

Liverpool have joined Premier League rival Manchester United in their pursuit of Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki.

Despite being just 16 years of age, the teenager has already featured for the club’s senior side in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, during a 0-0 draw with Dijon in October.

The French teen also featured during Lyon’s meeting with Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia last week.

According to 90min via Mirror, Liverpool have placed a strong emphasis on signing Cherki next year.

However, the Reds are reportedly set to face fierce competition from both Manchester United and Real Madrid for the youngster.

Cherki’s new deal with Les Gones runs until 2022.
