Juventus to battle Real Madrid for Christian Eriksen?
Juventus are reportedly ready to lock horns with Real Madrid over the transfer of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen next summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport via Daily Mail, Juve will look to hijack Real’s bid to sign the Denmark international by launching an approach of their own.
Eriksen’s current contract at Tottenham expires at the end of the season, meaning that the 27-year-old is free to speak with foreign clubs in January.
The report adds that the La Liga giants came close to completing a deal for the midfielder over the summer transfer window.
The Serie A champions have a history of completing shrewd free transfers in the form of Emre Can, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey in recent times.
Eriksen was not included in Spurs’ starting XI against West Ham United over the weekend.
