Manchester United close in on Norwegian striker capture?

Manchester United have allegedly earmarked Red Bull Salzburg wonderkid Erling Haaland as their top January transfer targets, according to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, via Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils are expected to sign Norwegian striker in the mid-season transfer window.

The report adds that the Serie A outfit Napoli were interested in a swoop to sign the 19-year-old forward in the January transfer window but Partenopei have ended their pursuit of the teenager.

According to the same report, the Italian outfit are no longer chasing Haaland because they believe that United have already agreed a deal to sign the youngster.

The 20-time English champions will have landed a transfer coup if they do sign the RB Salzburg star given that the teenager is considered to be one of the most talented attacking prospects in Europe.

Haaland has scored 12 times in 10 league games for the Austrian outfit so far this season.
