Crystal Palace have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Olivier Giroud from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The Frenchman is struggling for playing time under Frank Lampard, with just 100 minutes of Premier League football so far this campaign.
Lampard has preferred to use Tammy Abraham, with Michy Batshuayi has established himself as the next striker in line.
With that said, the South London outfit have targeted the out-of-favour Chelsea centre-forward as a marquee January addition, according to The Sun.
Lampard wants the 33-year-old veteran to remain at the west London club as he provides a different dimension but could be persuaded to allow him to leave in search of regular football.
Meanwhile, the Italian outfit Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in a loan move.
