Real Madrid consider January swoop for Christian Eriksen?

Real Madrid are reportedly planning a January move for Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.

The La Liga giants were strongly linked with a swoop for the 27-year-old during the summer transfer window, but a proposed move for the attacker did not come to fruition.

Spurs are said to be prepared to hand the Denmark international a new £230,000-a-week contract, although the playmaker is allegedly holding out for a switch to the Spanish capital at the start of 2020.

According to Marca, Los Blancos are keen on a January deal for Christian Eriksen as manager Zinedine Zidane looks to bolster his options in a central position.

However, it looks uncertain whether Madrid would attempt to secure a pre-contract agreement for the former Ajax midfielder to arrive on a free next summer or look to agree a cut-price deal with the Lilywhites in order to sign him in the mid-season transfer window.

Eriksen has scored once in five Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
