Liverpool want Turkish goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir

Liverpool have emerged as rumoured suitors for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, according to Turkish broadcaster Star TV, as cited by The Daily Mail.

The Reds are interested in the Turkish prospect after scouting him last weekend.

Liverpool sent scouts to watch Cakir in action over the weekend as the goalkeeper impressed in a 1-1 draw with Fenerbache.

The report adds that the Merseyside giants’ scouts have sent back a positive review to the club’s hierarchy after the shot-stopper’s eye-catching display.

The report goes on to claim that the Champions League winners will continue to monitor Cakir in the coming months.

Cakir is being considered as a long term option for 2nd choice keeper behind Alisson Becker.
